School Year 2014-2015

2014-2015 School Year

I really can't believe that my little girl is starting her Junior Year in high school.  She is on the Dance Company again this year and is enjoying every minute of it.  She couldn't wait for the new school year to begin and seeing all of her friends and just enjoying life!  I am so very proud of her!

Austin is starting the 8th grade.  He has enjoyed his summer so much that he didn't want it to end.  He loved going to Disneyland, swimming, bowling, Las Vegas and so much more.  He is playing football again this year and seems to really enjoy it.  Last school year he had a 4.0 all year and received the Knight of the Trimester Award that is given to students that go above and beyond.  I couldn't be more proud of him!

Summer 2010

It has been forever since I posted to our blog. A lot has been going on. School got over and summer has began! Max graduated this year, very exciting!!!! He had a great year playing football, nominated for homecoming king, track and did very well with his grades. He received a Tuition Wavier Scholarship from Salt Lake Community College for the fall semester and spring semester. We are very proud of him!!

Angela has graduated from elementary school and is moving on to Junior High. I'm not quite sure if mom is ready for all of this. She is such a wonderful student - was recommended by her teacher to go to Washington D.C. for a seminar for her academic excellence. She is growing up so fast. Loves hanging out with her friends!! Loves, loves dance. She just got done performing in Beauty and the Beast at Kingsbury Hall. It was so wonderful. She also has been enjoying a lot of soccer.

Austin is moving on to 4th grade. He has been playing baseball this spring and wants to start with tackle football in August. He is growing up way too fast too. Always keeping us moving! Hopefully mom and dad can keep up with him.

We just got back from a wonderful trip to San Francisco. We got to visit with relatives and see all the sites. The kids really enjoyed going on a tour of Alcatraz. We have camping coming up for the 4th of July and then Robert and I are off for Florida. We are going for 8 days. It will be weird not having the kids with us, but so wonderful to spend time together!!! (alone)

The Start of the School Year 2009

Well it has been quite awhile since I last updated our family blog. School started and it was quite a busy fall.

Max was playing for Brighton Varsity Football Team and also was nominated for homecoming king, which was so much fun and very exciting. The football season was one of Brighton's best in a long time. It was a lot of fun going to the games. One of the games Max had an interception and ran the ball in from the 40 yard line for a touchdown. Very exciting. Mom, of course was screaming her brains out.
Here is a video of Max coming onto the field for Homecoming King.

Austin played Flag football and really seemed to enjoy it. He is looking forward to playing baseball in the Spring and tackle football in the fall.

Angela finished fall soccer and is back in dance. She loves dance. She has recently broke her foot, but that isn't stopping her from going to the practices and doing what she can. She is in a walking boot, hopefully not too much longer.

Well fall soccer has arrived for Angela, having their first game this morning. They did very well and won 3-0. Go Blue Flames!!! Angela is #11 and mostly plays goalie but also will sub in at wing, forward, and defense! She really enjoys it. Hopefully this is a start to a winning season!

Angela and Austin get new doos for school

The Kids are growing up so fast!

Well school is just around the corner (not too soon may I add). The kids are really excited, what to wear, how should I do my hair (that would be Angela), can't wait to see my friends and go to my favorite subject P.E. (that would be Austin). He are a couple of pictures of the new hair styles for school (they are getting so grownup).

Brighton's 1st Football Game of the Season

GO #23, MAX BOND

Well tonight was exciting. It was the start of the football season for Max playing for Brighton High School. He was so looking forward for the game. They played against 4th ranked Davis High School and did awesome! Max got some playing time in the 4th quarter, so obviously he is on cloud nine being able to play for the first time since his huge brain injury last season. The team played really well. Hopefully this will be the start to an awesome season for Brighton!

Max's Mohawk for Football Season

Maxwell had to have a mohawk for the Brighton Football Season and mom was the one to give him the haircut. If asked though, mom will deny she had anything to do with it!!!! Hopefully this season will be without any head injuries!!!!

Camping - Pineview 2009

This past weekend we went camping with friends up at Pineview Reservoir. It is always a fun time. The kids all get to play. The beach is awesome. All the boys love playing and getting dirty in the sand. I think Robert even had a little fun playing in the sand. Some of our friends rented some wave runners and were really nice to let my kids ride on them. Doug bought a hugh blow up party island that I think everyone had a good time on. The kids all enjoyed smores at night. I think it was a good time by all who went. We had potluck on Saturday night and all the food was really really good. We are sure looking forward to going again over Labor Day Weekend!!!

24th of July - Fun in the Sun

We had a wonderful time on the 24th of July. We went boating with our good friends, "The Hekkings". We had such a fun time. The kids thought it was a blast. They were able to go swimming in the lake, Max tried the wake board and knee board. Angela gave a try at the wake board and was able to get up for a short minute. After boating we went out to dinner and then back to their house for drinks and home fireworks. I think that everyone had a good time. Thanks for a wonderful day!!!

Maxwell did very well on the wake board so I thought that I would take a video of him, take a look below:

Austin and Angela Face Painting, Max Too

Well the 24th of July is coming up soon. The kids and I went to the South Towne Expo Center and went and viewed some of the floats that are going to be in the Days of 47 Parade on Friday. The floats were are all so good. It was really neat to see them up
close. They gave each of us a ballot and at the end we were able to vote for the float that we liked the best. If you watch the Parade on Friday, Max really liked the float that was called "The Avenues" (I think the big red "U" on the top sold him on it) and Angela really liked the float th
at was from Real Salt Lake. It was a really cool float with an absolutely HUGE Soccer Player on it - really neat. Austin and I voted for the Monsters verses Aliens float that was made by Walmart. Anyway it was a good time and the kids also got balloons and their faces painted (of course, Max was too old for the face painting, but the lady making the balloons said that he could never be too old for a balloon!)
